Jhandewalas Foods Limited with its sister concern Hari Narayan Gyarsilal which is 125 years old firm was promoted by Late Shri Hari Narayan followed by his son Late Shri Gyarsilal. Later Shri Bhanwarlal Koolwal took the responsibility of carrying the business forward; he started with the very small retail outlet at Shop No: 35, Johari Bazaar, Jaipur.
With the very small beginning from Johari Bazaar, today Mr. Koolwal's 4th generation has expanded their Empire in various places of Rajasthan. By giving a new vision and scope to Mr. Koolwal's business, Mr. Rakesh B. Kulwal, the present Managing Director of the company has given the business a new zone and has brought innovative technology to make the product 100% natural for the customers.
The new goals for growth of the company set by Mr. Kulwal are non – linear. He envisions a larger pan India presence and believes that the strategy for this would be to create a Naman’s brand to reach an increased consumer base and for instant recall. He also believes that for the success of this approach, the employees would need to develop a different mindset; a new, set of competencies need to be nurtured and a culture of meritocracy has to take over. Mr. Kulwal is providing the leadership for this transformation by introducing and implementing several initiatives for organizational change such as induction of right talent, implementation of technology, introduction of focused consulting, strengthening a performance oriented culture and introduction of work processes that impacts the employees and their productivity.
At Jhandewalas, the best procurement and processing systems are employed to process Naman’s Ghee, Kesar, Godhenu- Cow Milk Ghee, Refined Oil (Polki), Mangodi, Papad, Boondi Raita, Poha, Yum Yoo Nachos, Pasta, Porridge and other prominent products introduced by Jhandewalas, It was the efforts of Mr. Raakesh B Kulwal that our Company’s IPO was 278 times oversubscribed and our Company got listed on BSE-SME platform on 12th January, 2018.
Jhandewalas Foods Limited established with an intention to fulfill Everyday kitchen need of Indian Housewives in the State of Rajasthan and adjoining areas. Jhandewalas supplies Ghee and other prominent products in the retail markets, wholesale market, and online websites like Amazon, Snapdeal, Flipkart, Big basket and Daily Needs etc. In the recent past they begin to supply ghee to Salasar Balaji temple, Khatu Shyam Ji, Rani Sati Jhunjhunu, Nakoda for preparing prasadam for the devotees.
Having established the production processes which gave quality products to the consumer, Jhandewalas which was largely an input driven company started its transformation towards becoming a pan India brand. This transformation is being led by Mr. Kulwal the Managing Director of the company. Mr. Kulwal is passionate about making Naman’s a market leader in the FMCG industry. The vision of the organization was and continues to be, as Raakesh ji says, Value to the stakeholders and quality to the consumers. It is this very vision that is providing the fodder for transformation into the next phase of growth.
Jhandewalas in 2017 & 2018 launched new products Nachos, Pasta, Raita Boondi & Groundnut Oil of a refreshed brand Polki, Yum-Yoo. In the words of Mr. Kulwal, “We as a brand spread the chain of happiness by taking responsibility of our investors, partners and eventually our consumers. We have introduced new techniques and processes that have made our workers self-reliant”. A Company is happy only when their consumers, stakeholders, employees & investors are happy and contented.
